Grignolino d’Asti DOC.

100% Grignolino. From a property in the municipality of Rocchetta Tanaro, of just under 2.5 hectares. Year of planting 2010, density of 5500 plants per hectare, southeast exposure. Soil texture: 40% silt, 30% sand, 30% clay.
A first harvest is conducted for traditional wine, leaving three bunches per plant to over-ripen. The over-ripening period varies depending on the vintage. The late harvest produces Limonte GB.

Approximately 30% of the grapes are vinified whole cluster for 15 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels, where the wine ages for one year before undergoing a long bottle aging process, until its release in January 2025.

2016: Temperatures and rainfall aligned with the last 30-year average.
Deep garnet red color. On the nose, balsamic notes of mint complement aromas of coffee and chocolate. On the palate, these sensations are amplified by a vibrant acidity and sapidity, with tannins elegantly enveloping the mouth.
2017: The second warmest vintage of the last 60 years, marked by low rainfall.
Deep garnet red color. The nose reveals a fresh and elegant floral bouquet. On the palate, this elegance continues with notes of violet candy, crisp cherry, and an almost ethereal quality.
2018: A warm vintage with average rainfall.
Deep garnet red color. The nose offers a bouquet of dried flowers, toasted notes, truffle, and tobacco. On the palate, electric tannins accompany dark fruits, licorice, and rhubarb, finishing delicately with hints of gentian.
