Every year, the United States magazine Wine Spectator selects the top 100 Italian wines from those reviewed over the past 12 months, based on quality, value, availability and the attention aroused.
Once again in 2018, Barbera d’Asti Docg Bricco dell’Uccellone di Braida is on the list, with the 2015 vintage.
By virtue of this acknowledgement, Braida is among the cellars selected for the 2018 edition of Opera Wine (www.operawine.it) which will be held on Saturday 14 April in Verona at Palazzo della Gran Guardia.
Opera Wine is the only tasting organised by Wine Spectator in Italy, in partnership with Vinitaly, and is now the traditional and prestigious preview to the most important Italian event dedicated to wine.
In addition to the positive score assigned by Wine Spectator (93 points) Bricco dell’Uccellone 2015 was assigned 95 by the British magazine Decanter and is among the “Top Wines” in the Italian Barbera category on the app ViVino.
Other acknowledgements: Platinum at the Wine Hunter Award; Super tre stelle from I Vini di Veronelli; Tre Bicchieri in the Gambero Rosso Vini d’Italia Guide; Cinque grappoli by the Bibenda guide; Quattro viti by the Vitae guide.
